Searching for Youth is a documentary variety show featuring Sylvia Chang as the “Listener of Youth.” Sylvia invites both her long-time friends and new friends to select personal texts, doodles, excerpts, creations, handicrafts, and other visual records from their younger days. These pieces are then recited and performed at ceremonial offline youth recitation gatherings. The program blends documentary-style filming with intimate conversations, exploring themes of youth and conveying the belief that “youth is beautiful and deserves to be cherished.”
