ELIGIBILITY<\/span><\/h4>\n

  • \n
      \n
    • AIM: Documentary projects that tackle Chinese culture and society.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • \n
        \n
      • THEME: Topic\/subject pertaining to Chinese culture or society with strong international appeal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • \n
          \n
        • PRODUCTION STAGE: Projects can be documentary shorts, documentary features, documentary series and immersive documentaries. Production status can be in development, in production or post-production. Projects that have been screened publicly will not be accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • \n
            \n
          • AGE & NATIONALITY: Applicant must be at least 18 years old; preference given to documentary filmmakers of Chinese descent.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • \n
              \n
            • ATTENDANCE: Applicant must be in key creative role, i.e. producer or director; selected applicants are required to attend the entire CNEX Chinese Doc Forum including Training Workshop and Pitching Forum. If unable to attend, project will be disqualified.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                \n
              • English is the main language used at the Forum. Chinese-English simultaneous translation will be provided during all pitching sessions; strong command of English is preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
              • \n
                  \n
                • Either director and\/or producer can represent the project at the Forum\uff08maximum 2 reps\uff09Each project will have 15 minutes to pitch, including 7 min for introducing, and 8 min for Q&A.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                • \n
                    \n
                  • All CCDF selected films are required to include CCDF logo in end credits.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • \n
                      \n
                    • Awards: The awards include the “Best Pitch Award” and the “Project with Most International Potential Award,” both of which come with cash prizes that winners must pay taxes on according to regulations. Additionally, there are awards provided by international festivals, which may recommend projects directly to international documentary markets, with specifics to be announced by the organizers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
